Welcome to Saltbush Clinic, 55 Moore St Austinmer, Dharawal country.

 

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land who lived, worked and played whilst maintaining the pristine beauty of the area for thousands of years before white settlement. We would also like to acknowledge the traditional healers that have worked in the area, treating and protecting their people, working with the environment, plant medicines and spirit. 

 

Saltbush clinic is an autonomous workspace for practitioners, specialising in holistic healthcare. Our aims are to deliver the best possible outcomes for every individual. We practice Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Massage and Naturopathy. All our practitioners are trained and registered in their respective fields and strive to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.

Kate E Tracey

Toyahari , East Asian Meridian Therapy and Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner
 
BHlthSc (TCM), Registered Acupuncturist (AHPRA), ATMS

Kate Tracey is the director of saltbush, established in 2020. She completed a double degree of Chinese herbal medicine and Acupuncture in 2006 from VUT in Melbourne and gained a scholarship to study in China to complete the her studies. 

She has worked in a multitude of settings including holistic drug withdrawal (Windana, St Kilda), Youth Substance Abuse Service (YSAS, fitzroy) and a community acupuncture setting in Bondi Junction.  She has also worked in private practice since 2007.

She has continued her eduction with master herbalist Sharon Weizenbaum and with the Toyahari association a traditional Japanese acupuncture style. 

Kate is a general practitioner with a special interest in the treatment of Pain, Womens health and chronic  conditions.

Bec Cook
Naturopath, Herbalist, Nutritionist, Doula, Reiki Practitioner and Yin Yoga Teacher

Bec believes in a gentle individualised approach to her treatment plans. With a combination of herbal medicine and an assessment of individual nutritional needs, she works with and meets her clients where they are at, helping them to make realistic, simple and easy changes to their diet and lifestyle.

Rebecca enjoys increasing her clients' own health awareness and responsibility and supporting them in achieving their health goals.

Monika Habicht

Toyohari Meridian Therapist, Japanese Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Doula

BSCBHSc(TCM), Registered Acupuncturist (AHPRA), Registered Toyohari Japanese Acupuncture Practitioner (ABTA)

Monika is dedicated to the practice of Japanese style acupuncture specialising in Toyohari East Asian needle therapy and is the founder / coordinator of the Genki Centre in Glebe, Sydney.

 

Toyohari is generally known as a more gentle style of acupuncture which has profound results on clients. Monica is the president of the Toyahari Australasian Association and has taught and trained in Australia and Japan.

Samila Blow

Remedial Massage, Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Taping

Samila combines comprehensive anatomical, physiological knowledge, intuition with a focused, deep touch. Her practice is a blend of myofascial release, manual therapy, therapeutic touch, craniosacral therapy and self-care exercises. Her holistic view of the body and injury patterns is supported by an ongoing education with osteopaths, craniosacral specialists and fascia experts.

Her offerings include  Pregnancy Massage - throughout each trimester to increase relaxation and help to alleviate the physical changes of the body, Post-natal massage - supporting the recovery process and relieving tension from breastfeeding and C-section massage - to enhance the healing process and reduce adhesions, associated body pain and improve scar appearance.  

Samila also offers Abdominal and pelvic massage - external myofascial release to rebalance the pelvic muscle and support abdominal organs as well as Jaw, neck and cranial treatments, to help with tension type headaches, migraine, neck and jaw pain.

Patrice Kennedy

Healer; Body work and Kahuna Massage, Womb Hara and abdominal Massage, Breath work and intuitive Art sessions.



 

Patrice has Worked for 20 years as an intuitive and empathetic therapist, working booth individually and with groups. Her Focus is working with women and advocating for womens healing, health and wellbeing. With permission to explore and be spontaneous, free of judgement and analysis ,participants gain insights, more self awareness and confidence , whilst also assisting them to embrace their own uniqueness and individuality .
Adopting a holistic approach, she is diligent in creating a safe place for women who 
are ready to go deeper within themselves, to be vulnerable and share openly , be seen,
heard and validated .

Kaylene Minett

East Asian Medicine,  Acupuncturist, Cupping, Moxabustion and Herbal Medicine

A dedicated yoga practitioner for 20 years, Kaylene draws inspiration from ancient Eastern philosophies for balanced living. In 2014 Kaylene re-trained as a practitioner of East Asian Medicine. ​With a previous career in the corporate world and busy family life, Kaylene appreciates the stresses and demands of modern day living and her treatments offer the opportunity to retreat from the chaos and reconnect with one’s self. 

 

In addition to her private clinic, Re-Zen Oriental Medicine, Kaylene is part of a multi-disciplinary team at Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, Campbelltown delivering allied health services to assist people affected by cancer.

Leah Russell

Ka Huna Massage, Hawaiian Temple Massage.  

Leah brings the gift of Aloha - honouring body, mind & spirit with this nurturing massage flow. Leah began her Ka Huna massage Journey at Mette Institute - Kin Kin in 2017. 

 

Receive, release and surrender while Leah's hands and forearms dance in long flowing strokes along and under the whole body, incorporating sweeping stretches and gentle breathwork. 

 

Kahuna bodywork originates in the South Pacific and was used during Rites of Passage as a transformational massageing and healing system.

 

Music, draping and cleansing rituals are used to enhance the healing effects on your whole being, leaving you revitalized and refreshed.

Conor Riordan

TCM practitioner, JapaneseAcupuncture 

Bachelor of TCM , registered Aupuncturist (AHPRA), Ikeda Masakazu Tradition.   

Conor completed his studies at the University of Western Sydney and then went on to apprentice with Ilan Ben-Nissan Sensei (a student of Edward Obaidey and Ikeda Sensei) for 2 years. He has an on going relationship with his teachers and has been able to develop his practice with great skill. He was drawn to east asian medicine for its intricate understanding of how the many facets of a persons life, physcial and emotional can contribute to a persons state of health.
